Careers
Working roles at O’Shea Farms and Iverk Produce are varied but include positions in the following areas:

Tom Murray
Agronomist

Tom Murray
Agronomist
I have worked as an agronomist at O’Shea Farms since 2018. I am not from a farming background but enjoy the outdoor life. I have a BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Science from WIT and worked for Teagasc before joining the team at O’Shea Farms. I enjoy working with our potato growers, advising them and solving problems. Every day brings new challenges and obstacles, creating a great educational environment to broaden my farming knowledge. I value taking part in the journey of crops from “Seed to Fork” and the opportunity to work in a large sustainable fresh produce company.

Philly O’Shea
Operations Manager

Philly O’Shea
Operations Manager
I was born on the farm so you could say I’ve been here all my life. I helped out at the weekends and during holidays while I was going to school. I worked with Templetuohy Farm Machinery for seven years and qualified as an Agricultural Mechanic before gaining further experience on farms in Western Australia. Since 2015 onwards I have looked after all our agricultural machinery at O’Shea Farms. The most enjoyable part of the job is the variety of work and the fact that no two days are the same. Working in my local village amongst family and friends is important to me.

Jason O’Brien
Carrot Operations Manager

Jason O’Brien
Carrot Operations Manager
I started my working life at O’Shea Farms as a schoolboy picking vegetables in the fields, and later graduated to assembling orders in the early nineties. When Iverk Produce amalgamated with Southern Fruit I moved across to the distribution side of the business for a few years. In 1998 I went to work for HP Chemie Pelzer for six years before returning to O’Shea Farms once again, where I currently manage the Carrot Production process. It’s a busy role but I enjoy the hustle and bustle of the day to day business of getting orders out, as well as the company of my fellow workers.

Keith Walsh
Retail Account Executive

Keith Walsh
Retail Account Executive
I have worked at O’Shea Farms since 2020, having moved across from Iverk Produce where I was wholesale manager for several years. I have a background in retail, and completed a Diploma in Retail management in DIT. I previously worked with Musgraves Super Valu for 15 years, and a further 5 years with Aldi Ireland. I thoroughly enjoy the variety of challenges within my role. No two days are the same, which means you are constantly learning and exploring new opportunities. A lot of time and effort is invested in transitioning the product from “Farm to Fork”, so to see our products in supermarkets throughout Ireland is very rewarding.

David O’Toole
Potato Stock Controller

David O’Toole
Potato Stock Controller
I started working in the fields at O’Shea Farms when I was a teenager, back in the days when manual labour was an essential part of the growing and harvesting of vegetables. I have worked for the O’Shea family in varying roles since 1986. I currently manage the Potato Intake area and Refrigeration Stores from my trusty forklift. Aside from our own crop, we store and process potatoes for over 30 growers from around the South East. I enjoy the logistics of tracking and storing and work closely with the production managers to ensure that the next box of potatoes is always ready for processing.

Jason Dunphy
Assistant General Manager

Jason Dunphy
Assistant General Manager
I have worked at Iverk Produce since 2008 and am currently the Assistant General Manager. My qualifications include a degree in Economics, plus Food Safety Management and Team Working Management. I worked in procurement for several years before redeploying to Technical Management in 2018. I manage on-site food safety, Health and Safety and Human Resources. I enjoy the variety of work in my role as no two days are the same. Each of these areas present regular challenges but I enjoy finding innovative solutions to the daily problems that arise.

Eddie Cummins
Supply Chain Coordinator

Eddie Cummins
Supply Chain Coordinator
My education and working life have all taken place at O’Shea Farms and Iverk Produce. I was once told you should move jobs every five years, which I certainly have done, but always within the same business. Like many of my colleagues, we began working in the fields as schoolfriends. My memories of those times were of hard work, good fun and fair pay for a day’s work. As Iverk Produce expanded, I moved over to administration, working in various different roles. The experience I have gained over the years has made me ideally suited to my current role of Supply Chain Coordinator, a role where there is never a dull moment. In today’s busy world, time is a precious commodity so a five-minute commute to work is a great perk.

I joined the Iverk Produce team in 2021 having completed a Higher Diploma in Food Science and Technology. I have a working background in Culinary and Food Sales, with degrees in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management. Working in the food industry and with fresh produce is something I enjoy and am passionate about. In this fast-paced environment, I enjoy the variety of the work and the challenges the role brings. Every day provides an opportunity for improvement and learning, which is all made possible by the support from the Iverk team.
